Kofu, the capital of Yamanashi. Not a whole lot to be said about it. Except it’s the only place in Yamanashi with a Starbucks, which is kind of the draw.

For one, they have this really big statue in front of their train station. Across from the Starbucks. Mmmmmm sakura macaroon season….

If you were to head behind the Starbucks you’d find the remains of the old castle. Not a whole lot to see except this big pointy monument.

If you get thirsty while walking there are several wine centers you can visit. Wine tasting is free, though far better and far larger amounts of wine can be found a couple of train stops away in Katsunuma. Though Katsunuma doesn’t have a Starbucks, so you’ll have to bring some with you.

Aaaannnnndddd thats Kofu. Which does explain why I still find the best thing about it to be it’s Starbucks.
